LMS Library Reading Challenge!
The LMS Reading Challenge is open to all students in grades 6-8. To complete the challenge, simply read 14 of the 40 award-winning titles provided by Mrs. Tappan. Titles are chosen from various awards including Newbery, William Allen White, Schneider Family and ALA Notable Books. After reading the selected titles, students are required to take and pass the corresponding Accelerated Reader test with a score of 70% or higher. Students who complete the challenge by the April 29, 2022 due date will be invited to attend the LMS Library Field Trip and will qualify for free books and prizes!

LibrariesCONNECT
LibrariesCONNECT is a cooperative project between the Louisburg Public Library and the Louisburg Middle School Library. The project provides outreach services to students in grades 6-8. Each student's school ID number serves as his or her library card number, which the student can use to have public library materials delivered to school each week. All middle school students automatically have access to librariesCONNECT. Parents who wish to revoke access should return a completed revocation form to the Louisburg Middle School Library. These forms are available through the public library or Mrs. Tappan.
With their card, 6th-8th grade students may:
request Early, Juvenile and Young Adult Fiction books, audiobooks on CD & Playaways
request Juvenile and Young Adult Graphic Novels
request Juvenile, young Adult and Adult Non-Fiction books
With their card, 6th-8th grade students may NOT:
check out DVDs & Magazines
check out Adult Fiction books, audiobooks on CD & Playaways
check out Adult Graphic Novels
check out materials @ Louisburg Library with your librariesCONNECT information
Students may keep all materials for three weeks. Please be advised that it is the parent or guardian's responsibility for monitoring their child's checkouts, not the school, librarians or staff. Louisburg Library and the Louisburg Middle School Library catalogs contain different materials and have different collection policies.
