Welcome to the Louisburg USD 416 Virtual Education Program. This program has been created to allow students the opportunity to earn high school credit through a rigorous and relevant curriculum that is closely aligned to the standards that are being taught in the regular classroom setting. In addition, this program allows students to enroll in classes that may not be offered within the Louisburg High School Course Description Guide.
Students enrolled in the program have the opportunity to earn a Louisburg High School diploma through USD #416. The Louisburg Virtual Education Program is approved by the Kansas State Department of Education.

CLASSIFICATION OF STUDENTS
Virtual Student
The “Virtual” student completes all coursework outside of Louisburg High School. The final exam will be required to be completed in the presence of a licensed instructor. To be eligible for graduation, all required academic courses must be successfully completed. A virtual student is not eligible to participate in KSHSAA activities.
Blended Student
The “Blended” student has the option to complete some of the required coursework at home and some of the coursework at Louisburg High School. Students enrolled in a virtual course within Louisburg High School will be required to take the course during a block hour in which a licensed teacher will be available. For the 2023-24 school year these block hours will be second, fourth and eighth block. All unit exams and the final are required to be completed in the presence of a licensed instructor. Students who wish to enroll as a “Blended” student must meet with their counselor and receive administrative approval. A blended student is eligible to participate in KSHSAA activities.
Credit Recovery Student
The “Credit Recovery” student has the opportunity, during the school year, to earn credit for a class that they have previously failed. A credit recovery student will be required to take the course under the supervision of a licensed teacher. For the 2023-24 school year these block hours will be second, fourth and eighth block. All unit exams and the final are required to be completed in the presence of a licensed instructor. A credit recovery student is eligible to participate in KSHSAA activities as long as they meet all of the USD #416 student-athlete requirements.
