Elementary Parent Teacher Organization
Welcome parents and students to the 2008-2009 school year. As a parent of a Rockville or Broadmoor Elementary School student, you are already a member of the PTO. There is no fee to be a member.
The purpose of the PTO is to encourage parental involvement, to open and maintain communication between home and school, and to provide financial assistance that benefits the needs of the school, teachers, and students. Our PTO has been very successful in providing all of this to our community.
Some things that PTO were able to provide for the past school year were: the cost of field trips for all grade levels, author visits, the rock climbing wall, a nurses' grant to help buy a defibrillator, and a teacher fund for classroom needs.

Incentive Plan
Parents
and teachers earn points for their class(es) by volunteering and/or
attending PTO meetings. All classes reaching or surpassing
the monthly goal (1200 pts), receive a monthly treat:
popsicles, apple slices with caramel sauce, chocolate chip
cookies, hot chocolate, etc. The classroom with the most
points wins a $20 gift certificate for their teacher to Mardel's,
Office Max, or Wal-Mart. Should classes tie, one name will be
drawn. Each classroom may only win the gift certificate once
per school year.
