Story image 1_0

C.A.T.S.

Louisburg Middle School has developed the W.I.L.D.C.A.T.S. 6th grade transition program. W.I.L.D.C.A.T.S. stands for Welcoming Incoming Learners into a Dynamic, Caring, Awesome, Talented School.

This program not only helps incoming 6th graders get acquainted with their new school environment but supports 6th graders, year-long, as they continue the transition. Sixth graders are supported by C.A.T.S. who are eighth grade students, nominated by their teachers. These students will be peer mentors/tutors for all 6th grade students throughout the school year. CATS will go into 6th grade seminars throughout the year and discuss various topics during the seminar. The hope of the W.I.L.D.C.A.T.S. and C.A.T.S. program is to make LMS a better place for ALL students.
