Louisburg, Kansas is
located 25 miles south of Kansas City. The Louisburg High School
Band has over 100 members and performs at many community events as
well as two marching festivals each year. A very popular event in
the community is the Electric Light Band Show which is presented at
night without stadium lights. Each band member is asked to
illuminate themselves any way possible while marching the show.
The 2008 marching show is entitled Acceleration and is based on a nascar theme. Music selections include: "Slick Black Cadillac", "Life is a Highway", "The Race", and "Cruising."
