Dear Patrons of Louisburg USD 416, The Louisburg Unified School District is a very special learning community which is focused on providing the highest quality education possible for every child. It is my extreme pleasure to have the opportunity to continue this tradition of excellence as the district's next superintendent. My primary focus will be to support our very talented staff as they carry forward the many successful programs that have been established while constantly seeking new ways to best meet the educational needs of EVERY child. Together our district will be facing the continuing challenge of meeting the requirements of the federal regulations being imposed upon us through the "No Child Left Behind" (NCLB) Act. Open dialogue and thinking creatively will serve us well as we work toward having 100% of our students proficient in reading and math by 2014. Did you know we are very close to making that a reality in the district? That accomplishment is a tribute to the dedicated staff working in collaboration with each other to provide the best academic program possible for every child. Of course, this success cannot happen without support from the parents and community. It is apparent that Louisburg citizens understand the importance of a quality education and preparing our students for their future and not our present. This is something that everyone can take pride in as we plan for the coming school year. The next few months will be spent visiting with members of this wonderful learning community. It is my desire to insure a seamless transition. Every patron is an important part of this learning community. I am anxious to hear your thoughts and ideas of where you think our focus should be as we prepare our students for life after high school. Please be watching the paper and the web site for a patron forum in the fall.
Educationally yours,
Our goal in Louisburg USD 416 is to teach
every child - allow each child to progress to the
limit of his or her capabilities. We will provide a wide
range of programs and methodology to allow for individual
differences,
